If you want AI-assisted command generation, intelligent task monitoring (ShellMon), or built-in Tailscale, choose TermAI. If you've been a Termius power user for years and rely on its desktop client + browser companion for ongoing workflow sync, stay with Termius — we don't have a desktop version.

Choose TermAI if…
TermAI is mobile-first. The AI helper, ShellMon, and the touch shortcut bar exist because typing long commands on a phone keyboard is miserable. Termius's mobile app is competent but feels like a port of its desktop client.
TermAI's AI helper generates commands from natural language, analyzes errors, and is context-aware. Termius has no built-in AI integration as of June 2026.
TermAI embeds the Tailscale SDK. Open the app, sign in, your tailnet devices appear in the SSH list. Termius doesn't integrate Tailscale; you need the separate app running alongside.
Choose Termius if…
Termius has native macOS, Windows, and Linux apps. If your workflow is "edit on desktop, occasionally use mobile", Termius's desktop↔mobile sync is mature. TermAI is mobile-only with no immediate desktop plans.
If you've built a workflow around Termius's port forwarding, host chaining, or snippet sync, switching costs may not be worth it. TermAI has port forwarding on the roadmap but it's not shipping yet.
